# About VeilStream

> Why we built it.

Preview environments only help if they run the branch's code against production-shaped data — without giving people or agents unrestricted production access. We started VeilStream to make that the default.

## What we work on

VeilStream Software Inc. is based in British Columbia. We turn the Git repository and Docker Compose file you already have into an isolated environment with a URL. The same data rules apply whether the caller is a developer, an application, a support user, or an AI agent.

- **Your stack.** Keep the repository, Compose file, and Postgres you already run. VeilStream connects them.
- **Governed data.** Schema stays yours. Rules are enforced on the wire, so credentials and data stay in your network by default.
- **Humans and agents.** Each branch gets an environment. Each caller gets temporary, scoped access under the same rules.

Steve is a product executive with a background in energy and finance. He received a degree in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia, is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, and volunteers on the BC Search and Rescue Association finance committee.

**John Oram, CTO** — https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-oram

John builds and manages full-stack products and teams, with a focus on cybersecurity. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Victoria and volunteers with YYJ Tech and the Alpine Club of Canada.
